These docs are the canonical place to learn how Engine works and how to use it well.

What's in here

The docs are organized into four sections, each readable in a sitting:

• What is Engine? The product in concept. What the agent does, and where your funds actually live (which isn't with us).
• Using Engine. The practical walkthrough. Funding your vault, picking a strategy, and reading what the agent's doing.
• Strategies. How strategies work, the marketplace you can pull from, and how to write your own.

If you've never used Engine before, read What is Engine? first, then Using Engine when you're ready to deposit. If you came here to write a strategy, jump straight to Strategies.

The three-step happy path

For people who'd rather just see the shape of it:

1. Connect a wallet and deposit USDC into your Hyperliquid vault. Funds stay there. Engine never holds them.
2. Pick a strategy from the marketplace, or write your own. Strategies are plain-English files you can read end-to-end.
3. Watch the agent run. Every decision shows up in the live decision log. Pause anytime, change the strategy mid-flight, or revoke the agent's signing authority and the agent stops.
